Paul Reeves

Paul was born and raised in Kershaw, South Carolina. Paul graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1981 and the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1985. Following his graduation from law school, Paul obtained a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Luke N. Brown, Jr., Circuit Court Judge for the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit until 1986. He then became an Assistant Solicitor for the Fifth Judicial Circuit for two year prior to going into private practice in 1988.
Paul is a certified mediator in the South Carolina Circuit Court, a member of the South Carolina Bar, South Carolina Association for Justice, The American Association for Justice, and the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is admitted to practice in all courts in South Carolina including all South Carolina State Courts, U.S. District Court in the District of South Carolina and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Paul emphasizes a practice in complex civil litigation including automobile accidents, personal injury, medical malpractice, criminal defense and workers’ compensation. He also litigates business disputes involving contract disputes, fraud and business dissolutions.
Jennifer Szumilas
Paralegal
Jennifer was born and raised in South Carolina. Jennifer graduated from Columbia College located in South Carolina in 2000. During Jennifer’s undergraduate studies she worked at the Law Offices of Wayne Floyd as a legal secretary/courier. The summer going into her senior she received an internship based in Washington, D.C. for Former Senator Strom Thurmond. She worked as an office manager maintaining work areas, responsible for all logistical issues concerning interns and pages.
Upon graduation in 1999, Jennifer received a full time position with Law Offices of Michael D. McMullen as his paralegal and in 2001 worked as the paralegal for James C. Anders and Associates. Daily duties included composing and preparing legal documents, clerical duties, minor research and daily scheduling. Since 2003 Jennifer is the paralegal and office manager of Reeves Law Firm, LLC where she has worked for over 13 years.
